TRUMP SAYS HE WILL PARACHUTE MARCO RUBIO INTO CUBA TO END THE COMMUNIST REGIME

Cuba

President Trump told a crowd in Texas that the way to finish off Cuba’s collapsing communist system is simple: drop Secretary of State Marco Rubio into the middle of the island. “We’ll just drop Marco into Cuba; we’ll fly him in by parachute. Drop him in the middle of Cuba. He’ll solve that problem in about 2 minutes,” Trump said.

This is not the first time. Trump has repeatedly said that once operations in Iran wrap up, U.S. ships will pass Cuba and Rubio will be sent in to close the deal. Rubio’s parents fled Cuba. He has spent years documenting the regime’s repression, economic collapse, and ties to adversaries. Trump treats that knowledge as an asset, not a liability.

Cuba is running on empty. Blackouts are routine. Fuel is scarce under the U.S. oil blockade. The same system that promised equality has produced poverty, emigration, and a privileged elite while ordinary Cubans go without basics. Previous U.S. administrations spent decades on engagement and negotiations that left the dictatorship in place. Trump’s approach is the opposite: pressure the regime until it cracks, then put the person who understands the island best on the ground to finish the job.

Rubio has already told Cubans seeking change that now is the time and urged them to partner with the CIA. The message from the administration is consistent. Communism has failed. The regime is weak. The United States is not interested in managing the status quo. Trump’s parachute line is campaign rhetoric, but the policy behind it is clear: use leverage, use the right person, and end the communist experiment that has immiserated Cubans for more than six decades.
