President Trump is calling out the deadbeat allies who soak up American protection while refusing to pull their weight when it counts.
In a fiery clip making the rounds, Trump lays out the staggering numbers: “We have 45,000 troops in Japan. We have 45,000 troops in South Korea. We have 45,000, 50,000 troops in Germany. We defend all these countries.”
He hammers home the one-sided deal: America stations tens of thousands of our finest young men and women overseas to shield these nations from threats like North Korea and more, yet when real action is needed, the so-called partners vanish.
Trump presses them directly: “Do you have any minesweepers?” The answer exposes the scam. These wealthy nations expect the U.S. military to do the heavy lifting while they offer excuses and minimal support.
This is classic Trump putting America First. For decades, Washington has bled treasure and risked lives to subsidize the defense of prosperous allies who won’t even meet basic commitments. Germany, Japan, South Korea rake in economic wins under our security umbrella but drag their feet on fair burden-sharing.
No more blank checks. Trump is right: If these countries want American protection, they need to step up with real contributions, not empty promises. Taxpayers are tired of funding global freeloaders while our own borders and interests come second. It’s time to renegotiate these lopsided deals or bring our troops home.
