“It is difficult to envision a scenario in which Iran would completely abandon its nuclear program and uranium enrichment,” a senior Israeli official said.
A Trump administration official stated that they have not yet reached the stage where the final choice between an agreement and resuming the fighting has been made.
The president and his team are currently discussing the form of the military campaign if it resumes.
The attempt to control the strategic island of Kharg is part of the discussions within the administration.
