TRUMP SIGNALS POSSIBLE TROOP SHIFT FROM GERMANY TO POLAND — “POLAND WOULD LIKE THAT” AND “I LIKE HIM A LOT”
President Trump just confirmed he is open to moving U.S. troops out of Germany and into Poland.
“Well Poland would like that,” Trump said. “We have a great relationship with Poland. I have a great relationship with the president.”
He continued: “I endorsed him, and he won, and he came from way behind, and he won. He’s a great fighter, he’s a great guy. I like him a lot, so that’s possible.”
The comments come as Trump continues to demand that European allies step up and stop freeloading off American taxpayers for their defense. Poland has consistently met its NATO spending commitments and actively wants a stronger U.S. presence on its soil.
