MIAMI CUBANS CHEER RAUL CASTRO INDICTMENT — “IT’S ABOUT TIME” SOMEONE IS HELD RESPONSIBLE
Miami’s Cuban community is celebrating the indictment of longtime dictator Raul Castro.
“It’s about time that someone gets held responsible for an act like that,” one woman said. “I mean, I was born and raised here my father is Cuban. And it’s time.”
The reactions poured in at Versailles restaurant in Little Havana, the famous gathering spot for Cuban exiles.
Reporter coverage noted the strong sentiment on the streets as locals discussed the news, especially on May 20, a significant day for free Cubans.
One man wearing a “Make Cuba Great Again” hat emphasized: “Especially today May 20 is a very special day for all free Cubans in Miami.”
After decades of the Castro regime’s oppression, terror, and destruction of Cuba, the Trump administration’s Justice Department is finally delivering accountability. Miami Cubans are making it clear — justice is long overdue.
