WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Officials said an embassy in Northwest D.C. caught on fire on Sunday night.
DC Fire and EMS said firefighters were called to the 2200 block of S Street. A fire was reported on the second floor of the Embassy of Laos.
No injuries were reported.
Firefighters were looking for any places the fire may have extended to.
Officials said the fire was inside the embassy residence. The occupants were able to safely exit the building by themselves.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
